blue, green, and gold

Despite being a Cali girl now, my twin sister still knows how to rock a good upstate autumn outfit. Pairing a “Maui Blue” Vineyard Vines Sadie Oxford Shirt with simple skinny jeans, the look hints at denim-on-denim without being too upstate. The sparkly additions add a dash of summer nostalgia and a quintessential Longchamp Le Pliage bag comes off as a basic despite the fact that it is worn in Julia’s favorite shade of green.

what i wouldn’t do for you, j. crew…

Is this J. Crew sparkle row cami not everything you ever wanted in a day-to-night casual-to-classy top!? I am seriously considering the investment (once I start getting paid from my three jobs…). But then Emily from Cupcakes and Cashmere pairs it so well with the Sandy Hyun Tortoise & Crystal Mini Bib Necklace that I might just have to start a Cat pre-pre-Christmas-self-shopping-spree-extravaganza! Do you hear that? It’s my wallet crying.

i’m an econ major and i love adam smith, what can i say?

Just two and a half weeks into school and I am already loving (and swamped by) my classes! This term I am taking Russian 200 (Очень хорошо!! My professor has teal blue hair and has us do yoga half way through class to revive ourselves — AWESOME!), Contemporary Problems in Macroeconomics (No, I am not any closer to solving the financial crisis, sorry…), and Entrepreneurship in Digital Media (A brand new course at Union and super-duper cool so far!). This upcoming week looks a little scary in terms of the amount of work I have to do in written assignments as well as tests (eek!), but I must say, it does feel great to be back at Union!

Доктор Живаго

Hosted by the Russian and East European Culture Club, the “Doctor Zhivago” movie screening and discussion event will share the wonders of Russian film and culture through the captivating story of a Russian doctor/poet who, although married, falls for a political activist’s wife and experiences hardships during the Bolshevik Revolution.
Pizza, salad, and soda will be served!

i miss my park

This summer the commute from my Upper West Side apartment to my Midtown office took virtually the same amount of time whether I was walking or taking the subway, so most days I walked! In the morning I would walk the fastest route possible (straight down Broadway, left at 55th, then right to AB), but in the afternoons I often walked, winded, and wandered my way through Central Park before I cut over just one and a half blocks to my abode. Although I’m happy to be back at school and back on our beautiful Union campus, I must admit: I miss my park!
