birthday wish list

Next week I will be turning 22! I actually can’t believe it. But, as is only natural, it is of the utmost importance that  share a birthday wish  list with y’all. Here’s what I’m lusting after while I’m feeling twenty-two:

Warby Parker Glasses | Statement Necklaces | Tory Burch iPhone Case | Essie Nail Polish | Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag | A Puppy 🙂

A totally reasonable list for a twenty-something year-old, no?

And here I thought I was the fashionable one in the family! My twin sister pulled out all the stops over our winter break. Of course, she’s borrowing both my jacket and my shoes for this particular outfit, but I will give her credit where credit is due. Once again mixing casual with classic, here Julia wears dark leggings, an easy gray tee, and a chic open jean button up. Pairing it with awesome printed pointed flats, a cute statement necklace, and a wonderful wool coat, the look screams, “Oh, this little thing? I just threw it together!” How we envy you, Julia!

comfy casual

My sister knows how to rock a great outfit (see here), but the other day she sported a particularly incredible comfy-casual look that I just had to write about. Her simple baseball tee paired with a tight, dark blue mini skirt works perfectly for a lunch out on the town. Add to that some wonderful gold accessories and an easy cross-body bag and you’re ready for some post-sandwich shopping!

I have a thing for tortoise shell accessories. Tortoise shell glasses? I die. During one of my many, many interviews for my summer internship a middle aged business man was rocking a gorgeous pair of honey-colored tortoise shell glasses. They were incredible! They looked outstanding with his blue blazer and colorful printed tie and exuded a certain timeless air that said, “yes, I rock at my job.” Kudos to the man who embraces his preppy proclivities! Regardless of age or gender, a good pair of tortoise shell glasses looks good on just about anybody. If you’re on the look-out for a new pair, I totally recommend going tortoise. And if you’re not, what the SHELL! Get a pair anyway!
